I am Congolese, but I lived in Kigali, Rwanda until I was nine. Since then, I have lived here in Goma, where I finished my studies in biochemistry and IT. When I was a boy, I liked to adopt stray animals and I also liked planting fruit trees in our back yard. I think this is what gave me an appreciation for the amazing diversity of wildlife in Virunga National Park, which is literally at our doorstep. My current job is to work with the rangers of Virunga. I also help Samantha in communication right here on this website. My goal is to help people around the world understand how hard Virunga’s Rangers work to protect wildlife — often at great risk to themselves.

In my spare time I play basketball and coach basketball to underprivileged children in Goma.
